Description

Big pounder plus size bottle. Nose is dull IPA hops, bottle aged on the shelf, aroma. Clear pale creamy head, fades to pond scum. Mild co2, could use a bit more. Taste is not strong IPA hops, but its there. Aged fer sure. Could even pass for a session IPA of sorts at 5%. Wish it had at least some alky kick in it, to make it worthwhile and help me forget its an IPA? Yes, its almost acceptable to me, but hey, I can't stand IPA; so what does that tell you about how it rates by style? Well, anywho, at less than 3$, it was worth a ticking experience. Hehehhehh. Maybe this is what our american military trainers are getting over there?

Bottle at UECC: pours misty gold with a white head. Aroma is spice and wheat. Of all their beers this one tastes most like what it should. Still mediocre, but better.

At UECC: this is an IPA in name only. Of course, the bottle is probably a bit old one way or another, but it tastes like an old watered down malty IPA. Some actual bitterness, but overall a shoddy product.

Big 17 oz bottle. Pour is nearly clear pale but with a slight haze. Nose is aged sweet lager. First taste is mild interesting candy, not really sweet, just a little off tart in its own way. In the middle, its gets a little medicine, quite different than other doppels I've tasted. Never really gets in yer face, just different in its own kind of way. Could use a bit more carbonation; has a tad of a smooth oily mouthing coating effect. Yes, I think I'm getting some dried fruit in there near the end. Without some carbonation, its finally getting a little difficult and grating my nerves on the finish. I don't think I could do two of these bottles unless they were really really cold.

Fairly hazy pour, golden to amber color, medium head, modest retention and lace. Caramel on the nose, a touch bready and doughy. Flavor is sweet malts, caramel flavors, more breadiness. Sugar, mild dark fruit. Mild astringency at finish. Low bitterness. It's fine but I'm not going crazy over it.

Pour is a hazy blonde with a pillowy white head. Aroma is wheat malt and a little bubblegum. Flavor is more wheat malt some honey with a lot of oxidized wet paper bag. Old but even if it was not it would still be a bit thin mediocre.
