Bottled. Copper coloured, small bubbly brown head. Sweet alcohol, malt and weak caramellish notes in aroma. Strong malty flavour with alcohol growing in finish. Very bitterish overall, and a bit hard carbonation.

Bottled. Golden coloured, mediumsized white head, which disappears quickly. Fruitish sweet malty aroma with weak hints of honey. Bittersweet malty flavour which turns only bitter in finish + aftertaste. Bitterness is kind of weak though.

Bottled. Black opaque, huge brown creamy/foamy longlasting head. Lacing. Aroma of paperfactory... also some roasted malt as well as old coffee aroma is present. Weak roasted malt in flavour, as well as some sweetish hints. A bit stoutlike as for the roastiness. Sticky palate, and roasted, semibitterish aftertaste.

(Bottle 50 cl) An oats-beer? Have I tried this before apart from oatmeal stouts? Hmmm, don’t really remember - but they’re definately not common. But disappointingly this isn’t really that different from an ordinary lager. But the honey-notes are indeed pronounced and very delicious. Gets better and a bit more unusual the more you get into this. Rather amusing that the commercial description claims barley to be a "rarely used" malt. Well, I’ve got news for you fellers.... 160405

(Bottle 50 cl) Very dark, almost black with a creamy and quite stable light brown head. Very dry with pronounced notes of the roasted malts, but not really bitter. Top fermented and closer to a dry Irish stout than an ale. A bit like Guinness in Finnish. 160405

(Bottle 33 cl) Very black, not much light shines through this in the glass. Light brown very creamy head leaving laces on the glass. Pronounced burned, dry bitterness - probably not only from the hops but also from the black malts. A very solid Porter. 150405

(Bottle 33 cl) Karhu really manages to make good-looking beers. This one is also fully golden but the head is completely lacking. Some malt sweetness well balanced with the hops. In flavour this is a typical standard pils. 150405
