Draft pour pint, enjoyed at Hop and Hound after a long week, and this was a perfect end cap. Delicious IPA worthy of multiple pints. First time I've seen a beer from these guys, since I visited the brewery itself. Hopefully this means they will be popping up around here more often. Nice hop bite up front. It leans towards citrus, but it's not dominating. Really balanced malt and hop quality. Classic badass IPA here.

Draft pour to a taster at Ashtown. A clean, dark copper pour. Soft, slightly sweet, dough like aroma. Caramel. A ton of rich caramel going on. Some stinging booziness. A very dry finish. Dough. Very unique. Interesting, but a little on the strange side for me.

Draft 5 oz pour at Ashtown. A mostly clean golden orange pour. A rocky foam head. Aroma almost doesn't exist on this, which I find odd in the style. What barely is there, unfortunately is offputting. Strange. Fruity hop profile up front. Has a flavor that lingers that matches the indescribable, subtle aroma. This beer seems to be close to being good, but a miss for me.

Draft 5 oz pour at Ashtown. A clean, bright, shiny golden orange pour. Aroma blasts the citrus and orange from quite a distance. Fragrant, and quite nice. Bitter citrus, grapefruit peel and mixed orange fruit. Sharp bitterness. Cool and refreshing. The perfect gift for the Citra lover in your life.

Draft 5 oz pour at Ashtown. Glad I didn't miss out on their wet hop! Clean, reddish copper pour with a full coat of foam head and lacing. Sweet, caramel front nose. Flavor is really creamy to start. Thick caramel malt, and citrus juicy hops to follow, with a medium to heavy lingering bitterness. Coating mouthfeel. Very earthy on the bitter lingering hops. I'm guessing this will be one of my last fresh hops of the season. Sad day, but good beer.

Draft pour at Ashtown Brewing. First visit! A dark cola brown pour. A nice, warming and inviting roasted malt aroma. Flavor is a cool and sort of sweet malt front, some sweet chocolate to follow. Minimally toasty. Late sweet-ish reminder. A good porter, but doesn't have the real bold flavor I love in the style.

On tap at Kombinat. An unclear orange colored beer with a small white head. The aroma has quite a lot of strawberry, with berries, some wheat and a lemony touch. It's medium bodied, lightly tart and nicely carbonated with a lasting fruity finish. Fruity, berry-ish flavor with a generic fruity touch and some pale malts. Long fruity finish. Interesting, but not sure if it's really good. 170923

Tap @ Kombinat, Kristiansand. Almost clear golden body with a small, fast disappearing white head. Aroma is light acidic, minerals, cherry drops and hint of yogurt. Flavor is light fruity with cherry, yogurt and a light, smooth hint of pale malt. Medium body and OK aftertaste in the same direction. Pretty decent, straight forward fruity Berliner Weissen, nothing special really but actually very nice. Probably the balance that tends to be too sweet or too acidic or too fruity for my liking.

200ml draught at Crowbar & Bryggeri. Patchy surface, near-clear amber-gold body colour, crocheted lacing. Promising aroma of resin and pine. Mixed hop fruity taste of apricot and oranges. Resinous bitterness to the ending. Fine bodied. Good drinking. (Oslo 04.09.2017).
