Description
The history of the brewery "Opillia" begins in the 19th century, from its foundation in 1851. Then the owner was Samson Goldberg, and later daughter Amalia Goldberg, whose name became one of the main elements on the beer label of this brewery. It was the first large brewery in Ternopil with a steam engine and the only one that has been operating since then.

500ml bottle kindly shared by djoeye. A bubbly pearl white head over a clear golden body, dotted spots on the glass. A bit restrained smell of mid-sweet malts, discreet hints of hops. Flavoured with honeyed sweet pale malts followed by a fruity touch to a malt-fruity ending. Okay, easy going. (Pivoteka H7, Tromsø 22.07.2019).

Mid-sweet taste of ripe banana added by a citric touch, lightly coriander spices to it. Malted wheat to the ending. Soft in the mouth. Accepted. (Pivoteka H7, Tromsø 22.07.2019).

Clear gold. Moderate white frothy head. Aroma: grains, some fruit. Medium minus body. Taste: light to medium sweet, a sourish fruity hint. Spicy hop. Low to light bitterness. Well-hidden alco. No flaws. Rather 'soviet' stuff. But in a good way.

500ml bottle kindly shared by djoeye. Crocheted lacing from a dissipating white head, cloudy dark golden body. Bread-like malts on the nose, hints of herbal hops. Pale malty flavours together with mid-sweet canned fruits. Ends with a touch of semi-sweet marmalade. Quite alright. (Session with lmojoh and djoeye, Tromsø 21.03.2019).

Bottle 4,3%/11°P. Clear golden, frothy white head. Rough malts with cooked cereals and burnt bitter sunflower oil. Similar taste - those cheap Ukrainian malts really shine! But yeah, it does have a certain rustic softness to it. Light woody sunflower oil bitterness in the finish, a hint of cardboard too. Classic regional lager.
