Poured up on tap at the brewery where it exhibits a deep dark black that supports a thin tan head. The aroma offers up inviting smooth vanilla and sugary malts, sugars and sweetened dark roasted malts. The taste is rich and smooth and deep and unloads a sweet array of vanilla, slick smooth sweet malts, a molasses bit and then sweetened dark roasted malts and coffee. This is one dandy sipper and comes across as a more drinkable Southern Tier Creme Brulee.

4.5/10 β€” Appearance 6 Aroma 4 Flavor 4 Texture 6 Overall 4
Poured up on tap at the brewery where it exhibits a brown to mahogany colored body that supports a thin tan head. The aroma offers up varied winter spices like ginger and nutmeg and sort of coriander to go along with a spicy sort of mineral note with a faint odd maybe off-ness at the end of the draw. The taste delivers just a boat load of winter spices that really overdue the experience. As my palate adjust to the onslaught of cooking spices I start to pick up a mild tart infection well off in the background. It has a tangy vaguely red wine sort of off note. Wow. Too spicy and possibly infected.

Poured up on tap at the brewery where it exhibits a near clear copper body that supports a white head of foam. The aroma offers up modest grapefruit hops and then mild resiny hops and some malts toward the end of the draw. The taste delivers modest juicy grapefruit hops and then some bitter citrus hops as it gets lightly resiny with hops to midway. The mild malt backbone shows up and takes this into the finish. Nice easy drinking IPA

Poured up on tap at the brewery where it exhibits a deep copper body that supports a light tan head. The aroma offers up some malts, spicy hops and then some mild spicy yeast notes. The taste delivers nice modestly juicy tangelo hops, a grounding softly sweet malty base, some bitter citrus hops and then spicy Belgian yeastiness. Solid brew with a pleasing balance and depth.

Poured up on tap at the brewery where it exhibits a deep dark body that supports a thin tan head. The modest aroma offers up some dark roasted malts with a slight mineral sort of earthy spicy faint mint like hoppiness at the end of the draw. The taste is interesting where it gets chocolate and mint here and there amid a few layers of earthy roasted malts and then some burnt malts. Tastes pretty nice and as more is consumed it’s growing on me.
