Good Vibrations from Piedmont Brewery and Kitchen

Surprisingly hoppy for a golden ale, almost a pale ale in its piney bitterness. Hints of grapefruit and lemon zest sit on top of biscuit and cracker, with a subtle grassy sweet streak underneath. Not bad.

Creamy, dry stout, bitter and coffee-heavy with an abject refusal to indulge in any sweet chocolate pleasantries. Roasted malt and anise grow prominent on the back end with a slight cherry-raisin undercurrent. Seems a tad overcarbonated, but otherwise a perfectly good stout.

Sunshine Daydream from Piedmont Brewery and Kitchen

Straightforward IPA, bright and clean, pils malt adding a cereal grain undertone to the rampant herbal-pine hops. Mild tropical notes lead to a firm, lingering bitter finish. Good palate, nice gold appearance with a lasting head and ample lace.

Toasted bread bomb? Toasty as hell, dry and grainy, with a mild hit of citric hops and a prolonged floral bitterness. Grows medicinal in the fade, a bit off-balance for the malt-forward front. Pretty pint, though.

Very tasty easygoing saison, light and crisp with a mild yeasty tartness backed up by clove and vanilla and hay. Beautiful pour, excellent sparkling texture. Nice beer.

Jambi Imperial Black IPA from Piedmont Brewery and Kitchen

In a flight at brewery. Reddish black opaque, with a great complex aroma and taste. The different hops and roasted malts work well together. Picked up espresso and even licorice, besides citrus notes.
