Bottled, from Hotel Victor, Prague. Hazy golden, small head. Hay and butter, some apples. Dry yet a bit fruity. Hoppy and light with soft, vital mouthfeel. Nicely bitter finish. Good desitka!

Draught at Hotel Victor, Prague. Near black, creamy head. Lightly sweet with coffeeish, roasty malt dominating. Above medium bodied with well rounded mouthfeel. Coffee and slight caramel, fairly low bitterness. An elegant, well controlled Czech dark lager, techincally perfect. I just struggle to find real soul.

Draught at Hotel Victor, Prague. Cloudy deep golden, rich creamy head. Citric marmelady hops jumps at my nose. Mid sweet with rounded mouthfeel. Somewhat bready malt covered with ever present saaz hops; sweaty graåefruit and hay. Really bitter finish. Clean and solid, hoppy yet elegant, no trace of butterscotch. Tasty new wave Czech lager.

(draught 0,5l) Beer from barley and rye (30%) malt. Sweet malty aroma. Hazy golden color. Medium white creamy head. Very bitter. Creamy texture. Bitter, astringent and dusty in finish. Very good beer. My first rye malt beer, but I expected more diferent taste due to rye malt.

Draught at the Hotel Victor in Prague. Dark gold to amber color. Sweet, malty, some caramel, but very earthy too. Light and interesting. Sweet yet dirty, earthy, with a bitter finish. Fruity also, with a bit of orange and some honey and apricots. A bit too sweet, again, and rich, but flavorful. Really different and original.

Draught at the Hotel Victor in Prague. Caramel aroma, deep and dark, with some dried fruits. Lovely sweet flavor, some raisins, dried figs, huge caramel with nice earthy hops. Slightly burnt. A really earthy, grassy finish. Sweet but balanced. Super tasty—the huge caramel works well with these hops.

Draught at the Hotel Victor in Prague. Deep gold-almost amber, with a silky, bubbly head. Lots of butter in the nose, toffee, and also earthy hops. Flavor also toffee—butterscotch, with some orange as well. Sweet and buttery. Also has a very earthy, grass hop flavor but with light bitterness. Smooth and full. Interesting balance and flavor—a bit too sweet and buttery, but flavorful and very original. Amazing for a 10 degree beer. Earthy as hell—great, original use of hops.

Draught at the Hotel Victor in Prague. Pitch Black, lots of bubbles, soft, super fine head. Soft malt flavor with chocolate, light coffee, a little licorice and touches of cola and wood. Minty, earthy finish. Tasty, smooth as hell, very drinkable. Sweet yet balanced. Actually quite delicious. A top level schwarz.

1,5 l PET (Slava Quack-Duckovi!): Amber coloured, unclear, slowly collapsing tanned head; moderate to solid sweet dark-malty and fruity nose with a certain hoppy background; solid drier bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied; lingering - and becoming very dry towards the end - almost piney bitter-hoppy and dark-malty finish. Blahopřani, výborna česko-anglicka várka........

(plastic bottle, donated by Quack-Duck) Hazy, amber colour with a short and slightly tanned foamy head. Sweet and slightly yeasty and toasty malty aroma with notes of dark berries and walnuts. Bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a smooth carbonation. Robust toast-malty taste with very subtle fruity notes and a strong hoppy and roasty bitterness, which gets almost astringent towards the dry and moderately hoppy finish. Not very complex but very tasty. 09.VI.10
