Dark chestnut with almost nothing of a off-white head. Aroma is sweet toffee, caramel. Taste quite sweet toasted nuts and toffee, hints of dark fruit and toasted bread in finish with low bitterness. Light to medium body.

Bottled 500ml. -from some bar in Brežice. Dark amber/brownish coloured, small off-white head, burnt caramel in the nose. Sweet malty, caramel, milk chocolate and notes of dried fruits with bitterish sweet finish. Overall too sweet, nothing special here.

Bottled 500ml. -from some bar in Brežice. Pale golden coloured, small white head, mild grainy nose. Malty, grainy and watery with touch of herbal hops in the finish. Pretty boring beer.

(Can, 0.5 l - BB 25.09.15, 20141212) The beer poured golde and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had sweetness and grass. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, grass, butter, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet and bitter. A too sweet brew.

0.5l bottle, that hostel in Brežice near the fest, thanks Ogi! Poured a brown/amber dark body with a small off white head. Pungent, sweet aroma, raisins, malt, cardboard, creamy, lactic. Typical. Mild taste, huge raisins, dry, vaguely bitter, finishes slightly dry & bitter. Slightly messy stuff but kinda interesting and not really that bad. Probably the same as 1795, but seemingly better now than when I had that.

Ogi got this at that big hostel’s bar in Brežice, near the fest. Was supposed to be available at the fest, but wasn’t. Yay. Anyway, the label was mostly in Hebrew (?!), with further writing in Serbian, Croatian and Slovenian. You don’t see that often. The beer itself was golden, with a small-medium head. Doughy/grainy aroma, slightly sourish, with some herbal hoppy notes. Typical fare. The taste initially gave off some more of that grainy + herbal hop vibe, establishing it firmly as a run of the mill but flawless pils, but it’s just too watery in the end. Shame. You can do much worse than this, you can do much better than this.

Sample at Winking Lizard. The beer is a dark brown color with a medium foamy beige head that diminishes steadily. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of roast malt and caramel. Light-bodied with flavors of grainy malt, caramel and a bit of coffee. The finish is roasty with a short malty aftertaste. Barely average overall.

dark golden colour, some not too stable white head; aroma of grain, some grass and sourness; taste is the same; drinkable, but it would be hard to say any positive about it
