750mL bottled Jan 2023, drunk 7/28/23. Clear, deep brass-bronze, sizeable, off-white head with moderate retention. Nicely mellowed, but still tart lactic acidity with excellent hop character adding all sorts of white wine, tropical fruit, spice and hints of juicy citrus. Deep malts contribute honey, biscuit and white bread, balancing nicely. Lingering tropical fruit-like acidity. Clean, no booze. Soft, malty, tart, juicy, hoppy. Just an awesome version of the sour/BA IPA. Tropical fruits galore, mellow lactic acidity, deep, honey-like malts and lingering juiciness. Clean, not boozey, not too acidic. Lovely, lovely hops.

Bottle pour shared by ClarkVV--thanks, Clark! It's an opaque brown with ring of beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, vanilla. Taste is strongly sweet malt, vanilla. Mouthfeel is full bodied with thick texture. Overall, really sweet and not getting any bourbon that would cut it. Not wanting to finish this.

500 ml bottle shared by ClarkVV. Aroma is mild vanilla and cocoa and sugar. Flavor is the same as the aroma. A bit more sugar to provide a balanced stout. A touch to sweet.

375mL bottle drunk 7/22/23. Clear dark mahogany. ring of beige bubbles. Pepper, lead, graphite. Caramel, definite vanilla. more lead. Really nice drying. Soft, juicy malt, vanilla and peppery acidity. Lead and graphite, good acidity, definitely still sweet but the vanilla is well done. Could be more dry, for sure.

Canned 6/20/23, drunk 7/14/23. Heavily hazy, golden-maize. Large, white head, moderate retention. Oh wow, been a while since I've had a bubblegummy IPA. Nelson is quite soft, heavy in white wine and papaya with less spice than usual. Deep, sumptuous malts adding honey and white bread. Clean. In the mouth there's a hint of piney bitterness to kick things off, followed by rich, thick textures of malt and wheat. Spice, guava, heavy white wine and moderate bubble gum throughout.

Can from brewery drunk 7/14/23. Heavily hazy, bronze golden big, white head. Juicy tropical fruits and earth with papaya and mineral. Honey, biscuit and such. Good bitterness. Soft, juicy, spicy, well attenuated, with wine mineral and tropical fruit. Medium body but plentiful malt and big textures. Pineapple and tangerine with dank spice.

Fresh can from the brewery, drunk 7/14/23. Is this cultural amnesia regarding west coast IPAs and bitterness? That said this has a delicious amount of malt, balanced hop and good body without resin or big pine. Almost some TH watermelon here. Gets really deep and juicy/spicy as it warms.
