Aromas of caramel, bread and toast and a bit of salt and coffee beans. It's got a very dry palate with some lemon citrus coming through.

Can. Very dark brown with a beige head that lasts well. Chinotto-like aroma with caramel and kumquat, some coffee. Light bodied. Very nicely judged modest sweetness with breadcrust, mocha, oranges and kumquats. Modestly bitter finish. Really refreshing and the best beer I've had from them by a fair way.

Can. Very dark brown with a light tan head that's soon a coat. Aroma of roast, caramel, kola nut. Nudging up on medium bodied, smooth, lowish carbonation. A bit disjointed - moderately sweet caramel with bitterness that stumbles in before the roasted flavours. But OK.

Can. Amber with a good cm of near white head. Straightforward aroma of pine, grapefruit and deeply crusty bread. Quite a lot of caramel but any sweetness is countered by resin and bitterness. Some grapefruit too. Fair enough.

Can, pkd 11/22. Amber with a small off white head. Tired, shy aroma of biscuit and vague citrus with hints of tropical fruit. More to the taste with sweet biscuit before a jolt towards citrus and weeds and a bitter finish. Not that flash.

Can. Minimally hazy amber with a modest white head. Aroma of boiled oranges, some tropical fruit, breadcrust. Quite clean with well-defined malt and fruit flavours - not a characteristic you really associate with hazy, but not a complaint. Breadcrust, tropical fruit that never threatens to make it cloying because of a slightly resinous and sufficiently bitter end. Fair enough.

A full bodied, hoppy lager that borders on an IPL. Very enjoyable. Aromas of straw, pine needles and honey. Grapefruit and old style bitterness abound in the mouth. Good length.

Can. Gold with a loose white head. Grainy aroma. Thinnish. Fairly dry with some grainy notes before rather weedy bitterness. An OK dustcutter.

Another winner from Burra Brewing. Aromas of chocolate, licorice, caramel and coffee, with a little pine late. Really balanced mouthfeel, with some grapefruit added to the mix in the mouth. Just a lovely beer.
