16oz @ Matt's new place. Appearance: very dark brown with a quickly disappearing dark beige head. Aroma: lots of coffee, some vanilla. Taste: quite thick, intense coffee, chocolate, moderately sweet. Overall: pretty good.

Dark brown, not much head. Big coffee aroma. On the palate, lots of coffee, and a lively fruitiness, so decent complexity because of that. I can't pick out any particular fruit, which I like even better.

16 oz. can, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out dark dried fruits, medium roast, and some sugars. Flavour is rich, with lots of dried dark fruits, moderate roast, and burnt dark sugars. Lots of dark dried fruits and dark sugars. Balanced and bold. Very tasty.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Pitch black colour, mediumsized beigeish brown head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is roasted malts, some toffee, mild herbs, grass and bready tones. Flavour is roasted malts, some coffee, mild wood as well as some grassy and mild herbal tones. A little bit of dark chocolate in the finish.

Sample (thanks omhper). Hazy yellow colour, huge white head. Aroma is tropical fruits, some spiciness, lemongrass and white peppery elements. Flavour is oats, fruity, some wooden notes with mild toast and finishes with a slight hopburn, which is a bit white peppery like.
