Keg at Up-Down MKE, 3/9/19. Thanks Kaleb! Dark red. Aroma of toffee, honey, cherry. Taste is cherry, strawberry, honey. Medium bodied. Nice.

12 ounce can, 2/10/19. Hazy orange, large frothy foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of floral and citrus hops toasted malt. Taste is tropical fruit, mango, pineapple, pine. Medium bodied juicy.

12oz can. Hazy orange-yellow body. Foamy, soapy, white head. Light to medium bodied. Wheaty, sort of bland sour tone. Some biting tone up front, but just fades away. Simplistic and one note. Not so bad, not so good.

Sampled from the tap at Happy Gnome. Pours a clear bright red with a white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has tart berries and yogurt with a bit of oak underlying. Flavor has tart boysenberry and blueberry with some yogurt and an oaky backbone.

12oz can. Opaque brown black body. Respectable enough beige head. Chocolate and caramel flavors. Not really nailing the style, has a sort of doughy chocolate feel, a little clumsy. Some oily harshness in the aroma. The alcohol is awkwardly present too. Drinkable, standard brewpub stuff in most ways, but doesn't do it for me at all....and I like Porters a lot.

On tap at a Front Street Taproom, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of whiskey barrels upfront, with some roast and booze. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of whiskey barrels upfront, with light roast and toasted caramel. The whiskey is intense, making this only drinkable in small doses. Good beer.

On tap at Indeed, pours black with medium, creamy tan head. Aroma brings out lots of lush rum barrels upfront, with moderate-heavy roast, and booze. Flavour is decadent, with a very elegant rum barrel character being revealed, with gentle roast. The rum is dominant without somehow being abrasive or hot. Wonderfully done.

On tap at Indeed, pours an opaque bright golden with a small white head. Nose is full of funk, oak barrels and fragrant wild yeast. Flavour delivers along the same lines, with a great barnyard funk from the wild yeast, accentuated nicely by the oak barrels. Lightly citrusy, with an oaky, funky finish. This is excellent.

On tap at Indeed, pours a deep dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out bready malt, English toffee and a hint of caramel. Flavour is along the same lines, with bready malt, toasted caramel, and a bit of dried fruits. Cohesive and very malty. Good stuff.

On tap at Indeed, pours a hazy dark amber brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted caramel, bready malt and toasted nuts. Flavour is along the same lines, fresh caramel, bready malt and red fruits. Nicely constructed, finishing with dark red fruits and caramel. Very good.
