About
On 01.02.2017, Nedstrand Bryggeri AS was founded, a small local microbrewery based in Nedstrand, in Tysvær municipality. The brewery collaborates with several local producers to raise awareness of the good flavors found in the regions, and to help place Tysvær and Nedstrand even more on the cultural map.

The beers take inspiration from the classic beer countries such as the USA, Belgium and England, and the guys don't skimp on the gunpowder when they brew. Only the best raw materials are used, and in generous quantities which help to provide a great richness of taste.

AIH205. Neon green colour with a huge white head (not a gusher, but lively when pouring). Aroma is kiwi, some tartness and mild wooden tones. Flavour is kiwi, some tartness, elderflower and mild guava too. A bit candylike, but not sweet.

Meh ... green colour, tiny white head. Some sticky fruity tartness in the nose. Light-bodied. Sweetish kiwi flavour, tartness, not so much guava. Quite medicinal, nope...

Pours hazy green with a greenish head. Aroma has a faint hint of kiwi, guava and citrus. Taste is light to medium sweet and light sour with an average slightly sour, kiwi and light citrus finish. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.

440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5.9%. Slightly hazy lime green colour, large to moderate to small off-white head. Distinct aroma of kiwi fruit, crushed green gooseberries, guava and lactic acid, hints of ammonia. Sour and fruity flavour with the same elements, moderate lactose (not very sweet). Not a beer I'll buy again.

Shared 330 ml bottle, at Mandag i Annen, Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 11.2%. Black colour, tan head. Roasty aroma, notes of coffee, chocolate, vanilla and caramel. Roasty and well rounded flavour with the same elements.

0,33 flaske på Mi2 Cardinal 15.09.25: nesten helt svart med fint skum som varer. Mørke malter, kaffe, rugbrød, lynghonning, urter og mørke bær. Eminent koseøl fra Nedstrand, antakelig den beste jeg har smakt av deres øl.
