Tap @ brewpub. Clear orange color, short head. Slight hoppy aroma, fruity, toasty. Some biscuit, quite malty taste for an IPA.

Tap @ brewpub. Dark color, short brown head. Good aroma of coffee and malt. Malty body, some coffee, some chocolat. Quite bitter. Good stuff, but go for the java porter if you love good coffee.

Draft at the brewpub. A hazy amber beer with a thin lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of hops, grass, and grapefruit. The flavor is sweet with strong ntoes of grass, leading to a dry and very bitter finish.

On nitro at brewpub. Translucent black with creamy tan head. The aroma presented roasted malts and a little coffee. Seemed promising, but the flavor was out of kilter — sweet for sure (too much so), a hint of Band-Aid, bitter aftertaste. The texture was creamy, but not creamy enough. Short finish. Average at best.

Draft at brewpub. Solid and enjoyable. Black pour with tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, coffee and vanilla. The flavor, too, featured the dark malts, but with a slightly sweet undercurrent and bitter, dry finish that hinted at licorice. Medium body, nice carbonation.

Tap at brewpub. Enjoyable double IPA, both in aroma and flavor. Cloudy orange appearance with small, white head. The nose is strong — citrus, grapefruit, orange peel, pine, malty grain. Grapefruit and grapefruit peel are most noticable in the flavor, but there is a strong backbone of sweetness (honey). Medium body yet the overall texture is slightly watery. Dry, bitter finish. Enjoyable.

Aroma filled mostly with roasted malt with notes of fresh bread and chocolate. Flavor leans toward the sweet side — chocolate, sweet malts. There is a slight bitter aftertaste. This stout finishes dry. Medium body, crisp.

Pint at the brewpub, GABF weekend. Moderate amount of yellow-white colored head, very well retained with ample lacing. Sunny, unfiltered looking. Light yellow to deep rusty orange. Aroma of dry, dusty hops. Walking down a dusty, dirt road in the summer, upwind of a farm. Unfortunately, the aroma is very faint overall, even when sticking my nose right in to the glass. Flavor begins with a touch of fruit (nectarines, tangerines, light oranges) and some farmy, dry, hops on the finish. Peaches, nectarines, pale malt and a light hint of caramel are all in there. Some light honey and a touch of graininess. Retronasal notes of perfume. Bitter, dry, hops-focused beer, but it’s not too watery and the hops bitterness dosent seem to be too over-the-top. Not a tremendous amount of malt complexity, but it has a satisfying crispness, I like the hops flavor and it’s quite drinkable, with a medium body overall. Average mouthfeel, moderate carbonation and lightly slippery on the tongue. Not too watery, not thick or heavy.
