Sample at Vine Street Pub in Denver (as Galactic Spring Turtle). The beer is a clear orange-amber color with a thin white head that dissipates quickly. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, hops and malt. Medium body with flavors of hops, caramel malt and fruit. The finish is mildly bitter with a fruity hops aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

Tap at Vine Street - sure it’s a gimmick beer, but it’s a gimmick beer with bacon! - and it’s actually pretty darn good - dark ruby pour - aroma of dry cocoa and a rich, hearty, meaty smokiness - medium body, creamy texture - sweet at first, but actually dries out quite a bit - earthy, bitter dark malts have a surprisingly complimentary flavor in the smoky bacon - could almost justify listing this as a smoked - I quite like it.
