75cl bottle shared by Arve_Christian. Pours hazy orange with a white head. Medium hoppy aroma with some fruity notes, hints of caramel, malt and spices. Notes of alcohol. Medium sweet with fruity flavours and lightly bitter finish. Fair enough.

Keg at Man in The Moon, Stockholm. Dark brown, rich firm head. Grapefruit, roasted bread and chocolote with a mere whisper of vanilla. Driet thsn anticipated with solid body and firm mouthfeel. Toasty, grainy malt, lots of dark chocolate. Long salty bitter finish. Flawless and rich.

Bottle at home. Pours a black colour with a big, light brown, creamy head. Has a fruity and hoppy aroma with roasted malt in the background. In addition I find grass, harpix and wood. Has a great hoppy touch on the flavour as well with grapefruit, pine and some roasted malt in the end. Has a slick and rich mouth feel, and medium bitterness. A porter dominated by the hops all over. Balanced, but feels more like a black IPA.

Sample at a tasting at Man in the Moon. Dark brown with a small head. Aroma of malt, vanilla and light "Christmas spices". Simikar taste. Balanced and not that sweet. Quite tasty.

0.75l bottle shared with my girlfriend. Well you expect a imp stout to be as good as black when it hits the glass, and this one is not way to far off being just that. It has a nice big and bubbly light brown gar-beige head on top. Loaded with coffee on the nose. Softly roasted with brown sugar, lots of milky sweet chocolate and a soft salty hint in the back. Smells really nice. It has a strong and really burned coffee flavor initially. Super punchy dark espresso coffee with dark cardboard, licorice and a really strong coffee bitterness as well. It has this thick and oily feeling in the mouth a deep it's about average on the carbonation. Makes my mouth feel dark almost black a long while after the swallow. Really flavorful and tasty. 21.02.2014

0.33l bottle. This is a deep blurry dark amber, almost brownish in color and it has a nice medium sized heavy lacing beige top. Nice nose with traces of chocolate wrapper, lots of hoppy tones, brown malty sweet sugar and a nice rocky earthiness. Something about these kind of aroma I'm really enjoying, but in not quite sure what it actually is. Nice flavors as well. More chocolate wrapper, a little bit of green coffee and malty caramel. It has a nice oily almost creamy feeling in the mouth and the carbonation level is about average. Caramel ice cream with nuts and a nice hoppiness all the way. Lots of flavor and probably the best I've had from this brewer so far. A cross between a India brown/dark amber/dunkel-ish? Not sure, but I really like it! 06.11.2013

0.33l bottle. This is a blurry deep golden looking one with a bubbly medium sized white top. It has a light fruit peachy nose. It's definitely fresh and well hopped. Lots of hedge-like bitterness on the nose, really grassy and it smells quite nice. A bit tea like perhaps? Yeah, lots of tea stuff in the taste as well. It has a light oily mouthfeel with a just below average carbonation level. Lots of dry hay and grassy things going on in the taste. Fresh hop pallets with herbal tea and fruity blackcurrant. Light mouthdrying but not disturbingly. Absolutely fair. Not my favorite hop being used here obviously, but a decent different one. 02.11.2013

0.33l bottle. Super crystal clear this one! Not even a micro particle visible here and it's kinda dark almost woody golden in the glass with a medium sized light lacing off-white head. Quite piney/birch infused on the nose this APA. Some bitter citrus zest with a good strong malty caramel sweetness and even a bit of alcohol. It smells much more like a powerful IPA than a APA. Well, it's definitely no IPA on the taste. Light oily, gentle in the mouth with a just below average carbonation level. It's quite sweet in the taste. Lots of caramel sweetness here, but a gentle mild hoppy bitterness balances the sweetness in a nice way. Light Nutella nutty as well and it end soft grassy. I guess you're can say that it mellowed down and normalized itself a bit compared to the aroma. Still, it's a nice light sweet APA. At least in the taste. 01.11.2013

0.75l bottle. This is a deep blurry kinda dark golden colored one. The head is about a finger thick, bubbly, lacing and quite white in color. Smells quite nice, lots of citrussy yellow hop aromas with a nice fresh grassy thing as well. Light peachy, but more pineapple like to be honest. Smells a bit like an Indian restaurant I just went to, but I wouldn't call it spicy. Smells nice. Oh, it gives your a little kick at first this. Well bitter initially but it's still well balanced after a while in the mouth. The carbonation is just below average and it has a rich oily feeling in the mouth. Your can most certainly taste the alcohol here, but it's not stingy in any way. Really fruity and tasty, light floral as well. Melon yeasty in the finish. It actually feels a bit mild in a strange way, could be cause it's well balanced but this could easily have been a regular IPA as well. Still, it's quite nice. 11.11.2013

On tap @ Amundsen. Can't argue with the fact that it looks quite black in the glass, but it also has a slight red hue to it. The head looks really good, medium sized deep dark cappuccino dark in color and lacing as hell. Not as toasty on the nose as I had hoped for or expected. It's more fruity sweet with lots of dark sugars and berries. It's really comfortably carbonated with a near creamy mouthfeel. Not really roasted in the taste either to be honest, but it's tasty. I get lots of dark berries and fruits, some strong yeasty tones, a little bit of really old coffee and it's leaving a light dry aftertaste in the mouth. Will gladly admit that I had hoped for something a bit more here, but it's a flavorful one none the less. 13.10.2013
