(Bottle, Man in the Moon, Stockholm) Reddish amber colour with brief, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with citrus, orange peel, fruit cake, caramel, honey and bitter orange marmalade. Fruity, malty taste with notes of orange peel, woody hints of whisky, pine needles and resin, marmalade and a generous citrussy bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, fairly sweet but never cloying. The alcohol is evident but never takes over from all the aother elements. Brutal and smooth at the same time. Superb balance and a lovely sipping beer. Agree with Per: lovely now, but would probably age well. Stunning!

Bottled at Man in the Moon, Stockholm. Clear deep amber, rich creamy head. Evident aroma of orange marmelade and marzipan. Sweet and fruity. The honey is evident, and the mouthfeel is certainly champagnelike. Still young and spritzy. The alcohol is well integrated and the whisky subtle. It remians fresh and never cloying - soft gentle and elegant. Moreish despite 13%. A really unique and likeable beer that will probably gain from years of aging.

Bottle (thanks omhper!). Hazy golden. Aroma of yeast, some tropical fruitiness and quite a bit of spiciness. Sweetish, slightly malty, flavor with some yeasty spiciness and fruits. Finishes with a certain hop bitterness. Medium-bodied. Decent but nothing special.

(On tap) Hazy pale golden with a small white head. Very spicy nose with some honey. Medium body, again very spicy with tartness completely dominating. Actually the finish is almost astringently sourish. A very different mead. 180908
