FEB-2020. Draft at Beer Zone. Slight hazy hold, sticky off-white head. Mellow extra light / Carapils malts, honey melon, spicy / piney hops. Similar taste, super crisp form peppery piney hops. Supremely robust and well polished. 4,0/5.
JUL-2018. BOTTLE from Berero. Clear deep golden, white head. Subtle biscuit and crystal aroma, some grass, not much hops. Classic light caramel malt body, light to moderate crisp bitterness - some zest and grass and just slight hint of alcohol. Not as easy drinking as modern IPA's. A nicely done IPA of the bygone decade. 3,6/5.

BOTTLE from Berero. Hazy bright golden-amber, creamy off-white head. The aroma is subtle bready malts, crystal sugar and white raisins and marshmallow. Not much hop resins. It is beautiful but too „rounded” - needs some sharpness. The taste is medium to heavy sweet, with moderate to heavy bitterness. The spicy bitterness is more boozy than hoppy or from the rye. So, the smell is too soft, the taste is too harsh, overall - decent, but hard to drink.

BOTTLE 50 CL from Berero. Hazy dark amber, off-white head. The aroma has toasty malts, white bread crust, strong tart dried fruit - apricots, white raisins - as well as notes of dried herbs, a few hints of alcohol here and there. Not the usual New World citrus and resin galore. Same with the taste - the malts are subtle, but you can clearly see the biscuits and bread, as well as the dried fruit. Even less hops here - mostly manifest themselves as a spicy herbal bitter finish. Less of a DIPA, more like a hoppier continental strong pale beer - and a nicely done one.

BOTTLE from Berero. Slightly hazy dark amber with a good sticky ivory head. Nice and clean, true to style Belgian Ale aroma, without being particularly ground breaking - subtle Orchard fruit, white bread crust, nice spicy phenolic notes. The taste is just as Belgian ale-ish - moderate fruity lollipop and malt, only slight spicy, no hop footprint, soft massaging carbonation. Solid, without being surprising.
