500 mL bottle from Sam’s Quik Shop in Durham. Pours a raisin-red color with a medium head and low retention. Aroma is, appropriately enough, raisin, along with dough and hops. Taste is roasted malts with lots of dark fruits and a spicy hop finish. Some alcohol is noticeable.

0.5L bottle, minute quickly dissapearing head, clear lemony yellow colour, strong carbonation. Strong aroma of malt but not to complex, taste quite sweet with honey anb vanila notes and some metalic traces. No bitterness whatsoever, some hops would have made the beer much better.

0.5L bottle, stable foamy beige head, crystal clear dark brown colour with traces of burgundy, soft carbonation. Aroma quite muted with a yeasty nose and some notes of vanila and traces of malt. The flavour starts with a burst of roasted coffee and then come dominant dark bitter chocolate and caramel to round off, overall quite dry. The aftertaste is sour but quite light and short. Body is medium and overall the beer is subtle and not overbearing like a lot of examples of this style. A really good beer.
