Bottle. Aroma peachy soury brett. Spontaneous fruits. Tempting. Very dark brown colour. Taste has nicely balanced sour brett with peach/apricot and general fruitiness, both sour and sweet. Light chocolate and roasted flavours mid-way through. Light alcohol in the finish. Really good and enjoyable.

Draught as part of a tasting paddle at Archive Beer Boutique and Bistro, Brisbane, on July 19, 2013.Black color, dark brown head. Malty, tart, dry, acidic taste. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Coffee, dry aftertaste. Acidic, apple, tart scent. Almost feels like it is going bad or the start of an infection, else perhaps loads and loads of black malt in the hot mash? Either way not pleasant for me!Had not seen the cherry description at the time of rating, guess that might give that harsh tartness I do not agree with?

From a 330ml bottle on 8/8/2013. Pours a very dark, slightly cloudy golden with a big white head. Has a sublime sweet floral aroma, with some light fruity notes. Flavour wise there lots of sweetness, with light caramel malt, honey and stone and tropical fruit (apricot and particularly mango). As one would expect from an imperial IPA, there’s a big hop presence, with a good does of grapefruit and resin finishing things off. Has a quite a syrupy texture and the carbonation is medium. All up this is very enjoyable, though be warned that the sweetness holds sway over the bitterness.

Opaque black beer, good pale tan head. Smooth palate, very light. Mild fine carbonation. Smooth light milky dark malt, no roast or bitterness, just very light. Whisper of coffee and chocolate. Mild minerals. Not much else here but the dark malt is marvellously smooth and the beer is very drinkable.

Hazy pale gold beer, little white head. Crispy palate, carbonated bite. Minerals, semi dry. Semi sweet pale malt. Super light citric hops. Forensic trace of chesnut, hardly there. Dry finish. Not bad but the chesnut and galaxy hops are hardly worth a mention,
