250ml bottle, batch 866B, from Vinmonopolet Sentrum, Tromsø. Pours a firm, fawn-coloured head slowly reduced to a remaining filmy layer on the top of an opaque, rosewood coloured body. Fine vinous aroma of grapes, dates, plums, oak and a, not disturbing, vapour of alcohol. The taste profile is also vinous offering dark grapes and malty sweetness of chocolate on a backbone of fruity tartness that lingers for quite a while, together with warming alcohol. Enjoying slow sipper on an Easter eve at home (Tromsø, 31.03.2013).

Bottle (shared by Arve_Christian - thanks!) Pours golden with a white head. Hoppy and yeasty aroma with citrus, fruits and hints of spices. Just lightly sweet with a solid bitterness in the finish. Nice one! (2013-03-25)

Draft at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a deep reddish brown with a thin glass hugging head and no carbonation. The aroma is rich, fruity and of malt. The flavour is uber malty. It’s not a thick, rich beer, but you really feel as though you could chew the malt. There are some cherry notes on the palate too. This is like no other "red" I’ve ever tasted. It’s packed full of diverse flavours and deserves a better rating IMHO. The malty flavour did disappear fairly soon after it was poured though, so drink it quickly!

Draft at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy light amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is light with grassy notes. The flavour is weak bitter and slightly watery grass with some spicy nettle there too. Sounds awful doesn’t it, but it was actually quite drinkable and it has that typical Bridge Road style that seems to run through many of their beers. The palate was smooth and with a little spice to round it off nicely. A "lager" ? Really ? This beer really grew on me the more I drank. Needs to be served cool.
