Shared bottle @ Patricks. Slightly unclear, dark golden body with a light off-white head. Aroma has pale malt and mature fruit with pine. Flavor is sweet, pale malt, mature fruit, pine and balanced bitterness. Medium body and moderate bitter aftertaste. OK, decent IPA with malt flavor and nice bitterness.

Shared bottle @ Patricks. Almost clear golden body with a small, dense off-white head. Moderate strong aroma of citric fruit, blackcurrant leaves and light spicy yeast. Flavor is sweet, mild malt, fruity hops, nice bitterness and some yeast. Fine and balanced body, refreshing in aftertaste. A nice one, with a bit less aroma and flavors than the Nøgne Ø version.

Shared bottle @ Patricks. Reddish amber body with a rather small off-white head. Aroma is fruity with pine and caramel malt. Quite strong in aroma. Flavor is sweet, caramel malt, fruit, berries and marmalade, moderate bitterness. Fine body and a sweet malty, fruity aftertaste where the bitterness becomes more obvious. Quite nice and rather malty IPA that lacks some bitterness but has an interesting flavor and a very nice aroma.

Bottle, at Patricks. A finger-thick, off-white head settles over an almost clear golden body. Quite pine and resiny aroma, with some maltiness. Medium to full body, nice carbonation. The flavour has a pleasant bitterness, with the hops dominating. A bit short finish, but overall a nice beer. 130214

Bottle, at Patricks. It pours a clear, golden body and a dense, off-white head of moderate size. The aroma is clearly influenced by the saison yeast, well, I assume it’s saison yeast. Lemon peel, fruitiness, some pine cones and a touch of pale malts. Full body with a nice carbonation, although high. Nice bitterness. Both initially and in the end. Really pleasant. 130214

Bottle, at Patricks. A more or less black one, topped by a small, dense, tan head. Liquorice, coffee and roasted malts in the aroma. A bit thin on the palate, write dry, yet with some sweetness. The flavour is on the malty side, roasted and coffee-ish, with some liquorice. Some bitterness. A quite nice one, easy drinkable and tasteful. 130214

Bottle, at Patricks. A gusher, producing a small off-white head over a clear, dark amber body. Piney, resiny nose, with biscuity, toffee-ish malts. There’s a little bitterness in the mouth, pine cones and citrus peel too, with a bit to much maltiness. Full to medium body, soft carbonation. A bit short finish. Nice, but not a winner. 130214

25cl bottle, batch 866B, BB 20-12-2017. Thanks to Antoine and the guys at Nøgne for the share. Could pass for another gimmick beer with the story of a beer brewed in Aussie land and aged on a ship back to Norway. These brewers deserve a medal for storytelling alone. At least they did not sink their beer at the bottom of the sea like another brewery once did.
