I got a lot of grapefruit and the slightest hint of passionfruit with some honeyed malt underlying it as I swirled this round my glass. I was very impressed with the aroma and looking forward to the first sip, but unfortunately I found it a little flat and watery on tasting. The passionfruit is more prominent on the tongue but the malt just about disappears altogether leaving a pretty short finish. A tad disappointing for a Bridge Road beer. (8-3-5-2-11 = 2.9) Second go - don’t know why, but I got a lot more malt on my second tasting and found this to be a really well-balanced pale. Followed it with the Sierra Nevada PA, and I thought it held it’s own.
