33 cl bottle @ Sankt Hans Tasting, Ulfborg.
Aroma has tobacco, ash and licorice. Also sweet malty tones. Flavour has licorice, tobacco, ash and some snuff. Dryish and ashy finish. Quite nice actually.

Huge thanks to Zeev for that one! Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass deep black, nice head. Starts intense malty, roasty, some earthy-woody notes. Light smokey. More and more dry. Light bitterness in the background. Finish well balanced, mild, but still intense malty. Good one!

Bottle @ benzai. Hazy orange colour with a small to medium sized white head. Smells chemical, glue, dusty. Tastes bitter, dusty, slightly weird.. Not very hoppy and fruity. Meh. Thin to medium body, nice carbo.

Bottle [from Euro Swap 2015-2 thanks to Tomer] @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus, Joes and dEnk. Hazy orange color, average sized white to off-white head. Smell and taste lightly malts, lightly fruity, lightly bitter, lightly hops. Average body and carbonation. Ok beer.

Many thanks to Barak for this bottle. Smooth and fruity beginning. Lots of fresh and floral fruit. Hints of dry grain on a full and slightly sweetish body. Easy to drink, nice floral bouquet. Fresh piney with a sweetish malty body. Nearly no bitterness in the end, floral malt, a bit sticky but not too sweet. Nice but too sweet in body for me.

330 cl. bottle @ home. Obtained in the big Israeli trade. “Imperial Mandatory Mild” seriously? Pours an almost clear dark amber and a reasonably thick creamy, some bigger bubbles light coffee colored / tanned head. Nose is sweetish, light cheap caramel with a dash of raspberry jam, light metallic, nutty sweet, almost herbal character but the somewhat sweetish jam character is defining here, light strawberry like minor oxidation note, it is a bit thin & plastic in general, interesting. Taste is sweetish bit thin plastic hazelnut and plastic lightly sweetish red fruit jam, plastic is a bit upfront here but the hazelnut and red fruits are definitely there as well, light cacao sweetness in the back, tad cheap chocolate cacao sweetness has a very light herbal note. The whole is slightly sticky, bit plastic thin and lightly reminiscent of hazelnut milk, body-wise it isn’t really what it should be. Carbonation is a touch too much like sparkling water. These are pleasant flavors even if I do question them being the right ones for the style. Looking at older ratings, my bottle doesn’t seem to suffer from off-notes like soap, sourness etc. I liked it quite a bit more than the rest it seems. Second Herzl beer so far, I wouldn’t call them exemplarily but they are interesting and enjoyable for sure in my opinion. Looking at the older reviews, consistency might be an issue. I was happy with my bottle.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours black with a reddish hue and a beige hue. Sweet, vanillaish roast aroma. Rather light in body, sweet, light roast and then a little woody and ashy. Not very tobaccoish but pleasant and easygoing. 170215

Nose is sweet basic mocha, brown sugar, light cigar, lots of brown sugar. Taste is lots of brown sugar, milk chocolate, mocha, leading into cigar, sweet brown sugar. Could be thicker. Quite an interesting & pretty nice beer.
