A beast of a beer that I even drank the day or two after it opened. Chunky thick orange brown body, a red head. Pretty good for the ABV, despite public opinion. Whiskey, warming, boozy.

Bottle. Lactic chocolate malt aroma. Black with small head. Light ashy dark chocolate malt flavor with a lightly bitter herbal hops finish. Very tasty.

Tasted thanks to some new beer friends met at Gourmet Haus on Eclipse night. Pours a deep brown, almost black. Some flecks of ruby. Taste and aroma are full and deep dark fruit with some nice bitterness to balance it well. Excellent beer.

Bottle provided by CaptainCougar. Thanks! Poured a slightly hazy amber color . Aroma was sweet malts, caramel notes. Look is a bit like a medium-dark cola color with notes of a light brown head. I didn’t get too much of anything other than some sweet, boozy malts - "barleywine."

Bottle courtesy of Atom. Chocolate, molasses, prune, and light smoky aroma. Black with a small brown head. Chocolate, coffee, ash, slightly acidic, and a little dark fruit flavor. Medium to full body, moderate carbonation. Very enjoyable.

Sweet malts, caramel. Cola color. Certainly a barley wine.

Pours a darkish, coppery-orange. Nice sized head. Fairly strong hop aroma. Flavor is a combination of malt and hops, with the malt forward and the hops back, though quite prominent in the mixture. Another very strong offering from this brewery.

Very nice IPA from a local brewery. Pours a relatively clear golden yellow with nice sized, lasting head. Aroma full of fresh hops. Flavor is a good strong combination of bitter hops with citrus and a fairly smooth, sweet finish. Worth a try.

Bottle courtesy of Atom. Piney-orange-grapefruit hops and caramel malt aroma. Chestnut with a moderate beige head, nice lacing. Resinous piney citrus peel hops and brown sugar and bready malt flavor. Medium body and carbonation.
