30th January 2023, Shrewsbury Monthly Gathering at Chez Sophie, only four of us to share the beers. Cheers Mike for the final beer of the evening, a very pleasant 'Night-Cap'. Black bodied, thin beige head. malty, sweet and pretty boozy in nature, spices come through nicely without taking over, didn't feel any 'heat'.

Growler fill from the Low Cost Beer online shop. Pours slick dark brown with a thin tan head. Aromas of toffee, hazelnut and chocolate. Taste is more of the same. Rich and thick. Boozy finish.

Can't remember where I bought this from, but I've had it just under a year. It's time. It's a reddish, almost vinous light brown, clear with a small ring of khaki head. Big fig and raisin aroma, brandy, cinnamon. Sweet taste with dark chocolate, more brandied stone fruits, gooey fruit caramel in the finish with just a twist of hop bitterness at the end. Light oily body, low carbonation. This drinks wonderfully.

Svart med lys brunt skum. Lukter marsipan, mørk sjokolade og mørke bær. Fyldig. Noe bitter. Smaker mørk sjokolade, salt lakris, kaffe og tobakk. Middels lang.

Tap at the two trees micro Watford. A hazed dirty amber coloured pour with a lasting small beige head. Aroma is semi sweet, jammy fruit, tart blueberry, earthy toasted malts, . Flavour is composed of, solvent alcohol, chestnuts, some woodland berries, , toasted grains. Palate is semi sweet, light tart, grainy, highish carbonation. Not a huge fan.

Bottle from the cgarvieuk dregs run. Appearance - deep brown to black. Nose - an edge of hazelnut and mainly dark chocolate. Taste - more sweet dark chocolate and hazelnut. Palate - medium bodied, sweet and fairly luscious. Overall - very nice.
