On tap at Den Anker. Pours clear blonde with a foamy white head. Skunky grass and light Belgian yeast on the nose. Flavour has spicy Belgian yeast, a bit estery, some dry grass, orange peels, and soggy cracker malts. There's also a slightly sour component that's really offputting. Far from Belgium both in geography and in style.

On tap at Den Anker [as Anker Brew]. Pours clear deep gold with an off-white head. Gentle spicy Belgian yeast and dry grass on the nose. Flavour has tired malts, dry grass, gentle spicy Belgian yeast, and some esters floating around. Lingering bitterness on the palate. Not a particularly inspiring Belgian.

Draught at Den Anker, Cape Town, South Africa. Clear pale amber, small head. Fruity and lightly grassy, somewhat yeasty. Medium bodied with some syrup and notes of glue. Low bitterness. Drinkable beer along the lines of De Koninck.
