Description
Founded in 2020, Sureshot Brewing has been a long term project of James Campbell. Everyone with a bitter taste in their mouth knows James. A serial head brewer at some of Manchester’s most respected independent breweries, and pioneer of the best in new world styles and hops to the UK. J.C. has been instrumental in the development of new wave British brewing over the last decade (and then some).

But we're more than a CV, we believe beer is something that’s meant to be enjoyed. That's why we’re focusing on what we know people love: hoppy IPAs, clean lagers, and flavourful, easy-drinking pale ales. Now we're ready to get brewing and release our first beers in 2022.

440ml can @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, March 22. Misty yellow, small white head. Bright fruity aroma, crisp distinct hop fruit to taste, nice pineapple, canteloupe and grapefruit notes coming through. Fairly light bodied. Really good introduction to this brewery.

440ml can @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, March 22. Misty yellow appearance, large white head. Tropical citrus nose. Really nicely drinkable, light bodied with great clarity of flavour, keeping things close to a gently sweet crisp citrus character. Nice and fresh.

Monday 7th March 2022, monthly beer exchange in Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Usual 5 suspects sharing beers and talking bollocks. Fourth and final can from the brewery (where Mark has been working on the brewery equipment) on the night, and the best in my eyes. Opaque, almost milky orange, wispy white head. Strong citrus front to the nose and taste, the richest of the offerings from the ex Cloudwater guy who brewed this.

Monday 7th March 2022, monthly beer exchange in Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Usual 5 suspects sharing beers and talking bollocks. Mark works for a brewery installation company and he's been busy at Sureshot recently and brought four different cans of theirs on the evening, this was the first we tried. Opaque straw body, white head. Citrussy, winey with both pineapple and grapefruit like flavours. You can tell it's from an ex-Cloudwater brewer.
