Bottle from Premier Hop, Pudsey. Aroma is boozy with underlying dark chocolate and a sweet nuttiness. Dark and glossy. Bubbly beige head soon recedes. Peaty booziness throughout. But it's not in yer face. Light-medium bitterness. Black coffee and chocolate. Nutty tonka provides smooth sweetness. Medium bodied. Creamy. Flat carbonation. Long somewhat astringent finish. Smooth and silky Impy. IMO the adjuncts and barrel aging hit the spot without going OTT

375ml bottle. Pours jet black with a thin head. Aroma is peaty, slightly vegetal tonka and chocolate. Taste has milk chocolate to start with a peaty, meaty finish. Touch of vegetal tonka on the aftertaste. A little thin for the strength.
