Keg draught at Sommar Leicester. Yellow-gold and opaque with no head. Tart acidic aroma with lemon juice and big notes of guava. Sweet tangy taste, still heavy on the citrus notes, a little less guava. Short finish. Still it's got a lot of personality and I love the guava hit (even if I want a bit more).

Keg draught at Sommar Leicester. Dark gold, a bit hazy with a small white head. Notes of boiled sweet, grapefruit and spryce in the aroma. Sweet taste with citrus peel leading to a bitter finish. Pretty dull for a West Coast IPA but overall a drinkable drink.

Keg draught at Sommar Leicester. Pale yellow, almost straw. A tiny bit of haE and a small white head. Metallic smell, some greywater, grassy hops, hay. Sweet taste with a more bitter finish creeping up. Long and slightly metallic finish. Yeah, it feels like a dirty drink which is a shame because I've enjoyed so many of Sommar's beers.

Keg draught at Sommar Leiceater. Odd Brownish gold colour. Maybe a little oxidised. Smells & tastes fine though. Sweet notes of pear and lemon with light vanilla malt in the aroma. Taste is also sweet, slightly malt-led with good bitterness in the short finish. Very slight body with heavy carbonation. Decent.

Hops are on the stronger side for a milkshake. Good creaminess, but the fruit doesn’t really cut through.

HEAVY on the bourbon characteristics - it’s almost too much for the style, it overpowers the ale flavor.

Good tartness, low carbonation - goes down easy.

Tap at Sommar, Solihull. Poured a murky orange light brown colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is tropical citrus and vanilla. The flavour is strong sweet, with a smooth rich, juicy mango, tart pineapple, vanilla lactose, floral hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. Tasty, but on the edge of being too sweet.

On tap at Crewe Dog, Crewe. Pours a murky orange / brown with a medium sized white head and good lacing. There’s tropical fruits and mango in the aroma. In the mouth it has a sharp / bitter / rough texture. Flavour is floral hop, tropical fruits and citrus with hints of mango and melon. It’s reasonable enough, but too citrussy for my liking.

Draft at Sommar, Waterloo Street, Birmingham. Poured a hazy yellow golden colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, herbal and hoppy. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a crisp, fresh, herbal, light citrus, woody hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation.
