Can at a Kobi tasting in Berlin Florentin. Cloudy yellow. Fruity oniony hops, a bit funky, a bit of lacto, sourish. Seems off.

Can at the flat in Sofia - picked up from 100 Beers. Pours really gloopy, like the consistency of syrup, almost no head. Clear gold. It looks like there’s lots of sediment but then you realise it’s actually carbonation that rises to the surface incredibly slowly given how thick this gloop is. Never seen that before. Tastes…OK, some salty lemon notes, really vague tomato, little to no spicy pepper. Light bodied, thick and gooey, minimal carbonation. Lightly tart finish, low acidity. If it weren’t for the abhorrent consistency of the beer, this would be moderately enjoyable. But it does feel like you’re drinking something you shouldn’t be. Really odd. I can’t recommend it.

At Ambasada, shared by AJ, I guess through Iznogud. I was told it was a coffee/coconut sour, but Iznogud had this, and it seems to fit the bill. Slightly hazy golden-yellow body, some white head. Smooth silky coffee-driven aroma. Smooth coffee-driven taste, light tartness, maybe caught some coconut, placebo or not, by the finish. All in all, a pleasant sour that doesn't go too hard in any direction, and the balance made it better for it.

12/10/9/12/9/11
