Bottle. It's a lightly hazy golden colored beer topped by a small off-white to beige head. The aroma has an unexpected berry touch, with a touch of pale malts, and a very light touch of piney, grassy hops. It's medium bodied and quite dry, with a bit harsh carbonation. The flavor is lightly fruity, in a very generic way, some apple, with pale malts, hints of bread and hay in the back. Short finish. Quite dull this one. 220119

«Sheriffpils». Drukket på Bergstua. Gylden. Middels høyt tett skum som daler sakte. Litt uklar. Gressaroma. Smaken smørmalt. Søt. Mais i avsetningen.

330 ml bottle, from the brewery, as Telemark Vinter. Parallell tasting with its alias, Telemark Bock. ABV is 6.5%, IBU 23. Dark reddish brown colour, large to moderate head. Moderate malty aroma, hints of bread, dust, caramel and over-ripe red berries. A certain difference in carbonation and mouthfeel, otherwise the two beers are obviously the same. The flavour is not too bad - notes of medium roast malts, caramel (but not very sweet), noticeable hops.

330 ml bottle, batch #004, from the brewery. ABV is 4.7%. Slightly hazy brownish golden colour, moderate white head. Yeasty and grainy aroma, hints of dust. Medium dry yeasty and grainy flavour, boring. One to forget.

Rerate, as Telemark Pilsner: Same shit, new wrapping. Original rating: 330 ml bottle, as Telemark Sheriffpils, from the brewery, ABV is 4.7%. Brownish golden colour, slightly hazy, small white head. Aroma of yeast and malts, some herbal hops. Citric mouthfeel. Yeasty and grainy flavour, some sharpish and medicinal bittering hops. Not good.
