Fully hazy orange-amber; disappearing off-white head. Citryssy nose, dry hops, cookies and - preserved pineapple? Sweet and dry-bitter taste, a bit piney, resiny and only slightly citrussy. Wry, dry taste, bone-dry. Aftertaste is short, but more balanced, the sweet and the bitter finally confluent. Not really impressive double IPA. Dry gets another dimension here.

Bottled
Opaque black, not much head. Roasted (dark chocolate) and black coffee aroma. Full-bodied, roasted and not very alcoholic. Liquerish licorice brew. Typical imperial stout in good and in bad.

Bottled. Black/dark amber colour, small brown head. Roasted malt, sugar and old coffee in aroma. Roasted malt with wooden hints in flavour. Also hints of smoke and caramel.

Bottled. Very black. Concentrated aroma of coffee and milk chocolate. Sweet and creamy with notes of whiskey.Very rich with thick mouthfeel and notes of molasses. Tarry finish. The concentration of the flavours is really wonderful, but the sweetness and molasses reduces the enjoyment.

A hazy orange beer with a thin orange head. The aroma is alcoholic, with notes of peaches and caramel, while the flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, leading to a dry hoppy end.

This pours black as expected with a dark mocha head. The aroma is nice and deep, cocoa, coffee and dark roasted malt. Thick yet smooth palate delivers a well rounded dark roast flavor package. Good dryness at the finish. A good beer has been made even better.

Bottled. U.S. Beer #17 of 31 for American Beer Month! Rated "live." Big, heady malt and IPA smell when I crack the bottle. Pours a deep, firety orange with a thin head that’s dwindling quickly. Hops are not the first thing I taste here, but a great malty, alcoholic slap to the adenoids. A nice little burn that leaves my throat just a little raw for the hops to take their seats. Can’t find any one hop profile here; I’m still not that practiced a judge; just a bittersweet balance of love and despair. A lovely capstone to a long hot summer weekend (watching Laurel & Hardy on TCM, if you must know).

Clear golden color and somewhat bubbly with a thin white head and very little lacing. Aroma of wheat and clove. Light-bodied and crisp with a decent balance of wheat, banana and hops flavor. The finish is refreshing and mildly hoppy with a pinch of citrus. Straightforward and enjoyable.
