Milwaukee YEHa!05, brought by JPDIPSO. I didn’t take many notes for this beer, but I remember it better than I rated it. Dark brown body, light tan head. Roasty aroma with toasted maltsw and plenty of chocolate. Rich, roasted malt body, toasty, chocolatey, and with an earthy hops finish. Medium-bodied and fairly rich.

Copper-amber colour. Cinnamon, nutmeg and clove aroma, with soft caramel maltiness. Sweet flavour is heavy on the cinnamon, with accents of clove and rich caramel maltiness. Sticky sweet spicy finish. Pretty good balance between the malt and spice, but not such good balance between malt and hops. Might be mullable, though, which is a neat bonus feature.

BW tasting at Dumdum’s, Late March 2005. Lightly hazy orange amber ale, with a nice off-white head. Sweet esters of fruits and floral hops come out, with orange notes. Sweet honey malt in mouth, with floral hops in attack, lingering bitterness and warm alcohol. Rather sweet, bitter and simple. Thanks Cap.

Bottle Pours a murky dingy apricot color with a small head that took some serious violent pouring to generate. This quickly dissapears to wisps of lacing. Aroma is dominated by the yeaty, fruity notes that are comon with the Belgians. Flavor was more fruity and quite sweet. Tastes of apples bananas and pears kept in the cellar a bit to long. Very soft carbonationand a sour bite in the trailer followed at the end by a fairly acidic bitterness that puts me off a bit. Pleasant if you keep sipping it.

An unclear orange beer with a disappearing white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of pineapple, coconuts, banana, and coriander. The flavor is sweet with notes of oranges, vanilla, and pineapples. I think this is the most complex Saison I’ve ever had.

Draught Pint at Redbones on 11/17/05 with OldGrowth. On the border between transparent and transluscent, this amber to cherry-red and beige colored beer invites a beige colored head to dinner and the two chat in to the evening (alternatively, the head is well-retained). Spotty lacing evident on the glass. Very respectable appearance for a pressurized, low gravity draught. Aroma has a touch of earth to it, lightly musty notes arise as well, and then a hint of cherries, dry peaches and finally soft caramel. Only a smattering of orange-peel-like citrus notes are apparent at first, but after warming, evolve to a more broad orange and light grapefruit variety. Flavor combines medium-dry caramel with light oranges and a touch of minimally sour, munich-like grains. Supportive malting mixed with low carbonation produces a lightly creamy texture. Strong dryness on the finish suggestive of dusty yeast, dry grains and light hop bitterness. Fresh, and with more yeast character than your average American ESB. Lightly sweet toffee lingers on the aftertaste.

Bottle Pours a slightly hazy orange amber with a small quickly dissipating off white head and thick clinging lacing. Aroma is light pumpkin spice and some vanila and cinnamon. Flavor was sour vinnegary. Feel was thin but smoth and had a fairly high carbonation. The spices come through again on the trailer. Overall the pumpkin is subtle. I’ll never get used to these I guess. 6/30/10. Has this on tap at Brewforia and it was a great, lightly spiced pumpkin delight. If I hadn’t known it was a pumpkin ale I might have been hard presed to nail that. Adding a few more points as I reconsider.

bottle-pours a light tan head, color is golden. Aroma is hops. Taste is hops, mild, good carbonation.

Bottle Pours a hazy light orange/amber with a modest off white head. Coarse blocky lacing. Aroma is certianly flowery and sweet like honey. Jasmine I suppose, had I smelled Jasmine before I would know. Sweet honeysuckle is how I would describe the aroma. Remakably littel hops in the aroma. I dont notice the perfumy flavors lke my wife or beer sharing partner pinkzambia but it is there. More like a heavy lager to me. Hops are ci\onspicuously absent in the flavor as well. Particularly for the style. Low carbonation and smooth soft palate.
