Description
Elysian Brewing Company operates three locations of which Elysian Capitol Hill is the main brewery and a full production brewery – Elysian Airport Way, in the Georgetown neighborhood (since 2011). Known both for classic styles and for flexibility and innovation, Elysian has brewed over 500 different recipes since opening in 1996. While Elysian’s brewers use a variety of unusual ingredients, they are seasonally notorious for their pumpkin beers. In 2015 Elysian joined AB InBevs' family of craft brands.

Tap at One. Get the orange but more sherbert like. Little maltiness, aroma is a little sweet, not so much fruit. Enjoying the sherbert element but guess that could get old in a whole pint.

Tap at One. Aroma is spicy as expected. Cinnamon, sweetness, brown sugar. Taste is alright, feels a bit more vegetable like than I would normally associate with pumpkin beers. Sweetness is more boozy than sugary.

Keg. Coffee, pumpkin, smooth, low on spiciness, some clove I think, cinnamon, but not over the top. Nice. Surprisingly good. Strange mix, but I like it. Bit of toffee too.

Pour is a hazy amber with a large white head. Aroma is a odd lime and pine combo. Not that it is bad just kind of odd. Flavor is lime heavy but also palate cleansing at the same time. This would be good with spicy food dishes. It is what it is, a beer with lime and it is kind of refreshing.

Pours clear copper with a small head and some lacing. The aroma is led by tropical fruit accented hops. The flavor has good bitterness withtropical and citrus fruit. It’s medium bodied and overall a very solid ipa.

Bottle/Fest. A- Lime. A- Gold color, clear liquid, off white head. T- Lime. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, light finish. O- Really lime forward. Not sure what black limes are but unless you're looking for a whole lot of lime, you won't get much else.

Draft pour pint to plastic at Elysian Fields, the official Mariners game pre funk headquarters for yours truly. Soft haze, shadow orange, thick cream foam lid. Aroma is dense with the headlining rye grain, some bready malts compete. Flavor dates to be spicey with rye attributes, but it is met with a pairing sweet caramel malt. Its smooth. Flavorful. Interesting. I get a hidden melon character in the hop bill. The sips trade off. Some full of malt, rye. Some a total hop centered IPA. Enjoyable brew.

Experience by September 27th 2019. It just showed up, dammit. I sometimes really hate distributors.
Pours a slightly hazy pale gold with an impressive and long lasting head of foam.
The smell has a lot of citrus, rye, pine, some toasted malt. Doesn't seem like the age hurt the smell. What do I know?
The taste has oodles of pine, light grapefruit, dank, spicy rye, toasted malt, again, it's better than I anticipated.
Medium bodied with kinda light carbonation. Not the best mouthfeel.
Interesting. Worthy of a repurchase? Nah.
