Sampled on draft this beer poured a hazy dark amber color with a large foamy orange-white head that left very good lacing. The aroma was dry, chalky and perfumey. The flavor was tart and bitter with strong perfume and some chalk. Long finish. Medium body.

Tap at yard house off the strip. A clear golden orange coloured pour with a tidy white head. Aroma is mellow dank orange, mango, midget gems, peach. Flavour is composed of bitter pine needles, hop dust, butter pine, resinous hop, bitter hop, resinous hop, douglas fur. Big bold bitterness.

On tap at Flood Valley, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out crisp watermelon notes upfront, with a touch of salt and light lacto. Flavour is very bright and refreshing, with lots of salt, gentle watermelon, and some lacto. Really nice saltiness to it, and good incorporation of the watermelon. Solid stuff.

$2 bottle from chalet. Clear pale with a foamy white head. Som hop flower perfume for the olfactory. Taste is simply a big bitter blast. Typical big IPA. IF it was a little more viscous it would be an imperial IPA. What else can be said, terribly on the nasty style, whew.

355ml bottle. (6.0% ABV) Pours an opaque black with a medium, creamy, long lasting, tan head that laces. Aroma of roasted malt, espresso, dark chocolate and earth. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, dark chocolate, caramel, lactose, licorice, ash and earth in a dry, mild bitter, coffee finish. Medium body with a creamy, smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Very tasty.

355ml bottle. (3.8% ABV) Pours a clear pink-orange with a small, fizzy, short lived, off-white head that leaves spotty lacing. Sweet aroma of wheat malt, huckleberry and floral. Sweet flavour of wheat malt, huckleberry, vinegar and floral in a dry, tart, Lacto finish. Light body with a watery texture and average carbonation. Refreshing, easy to drink.

Not bad, especially considering how abrasive lime can be when liberally applied to a beer. Salute the Sun takes a more restrained route, however, offering up subtle lime zest notes behind grapefruit-passion fruit Citra goodness and a mild, crackery malt base. Finish offers up lime bitterness but not much else; definitely a front-loaded pint. Drinkable, but forgettable.

(On tap) Clear amber with almost no head. Nice aroma. Medium body with good fine carbonation. Great taste. Lovely balance of caramel malts and fresh tangy hops. Pleasant bitterness. Great beer.

650 ml bomber from Beer Cats Fukubukuro. Amber pour with some white bubbles on the top, not very foamy. Nose has a lots of barrrel, lots of vanilla and lots of oak. Sweet oak dominates. Taste is smooth, alcohol covered mainly wit oak but also vanilla - these two things are really defining this beer. Some bitterness in the finish, otherwise a sipper. Interesting and quite unusual. Oily and slick mothfeel.
