Keg at Mr Brews Taphouse, 6.14.19. Hazy orange. Not sure how chill hazed. It was served in a chilled glass. Fuck this place... avoid. Large frothy tan head, good retention. Aroma of citrus and pale malt. Taste is pine, resin, orange zest, lime, pale malts. Medium bodied, moderate bitterness. I'm upping the score a bit because I suspect the chilled glass is killing some of the flavor.

Bomber from CostCo in Woodland, CA. Pours gold with a slightly off-white head. Aroma is citrus with a lime note. Med body or so. Flavor is mild caramel with a nice dose of citrus and some lime. Fairly dry. More citrus bitter than hop bitter. Arguably a touch of lime tartness. Clean and refreshing.

Bottle shared at Lucky Bamboo share. Pours a clear gold with a finger of white foam that dissipates quickly. Huge black and pink peppercorn nose with some light green pepper plant aromas as it warms. Peppery and spicy palate with saison esters mixed. Lingering black pepper and crackery malt. Awful idea and fairly unpleasant beer overall. --- Beer merged from original tick of Oddland Peppercorn Saison on 07 Jun 2019 at 10:35 - Score: 5. Original review text: Unbalanced and way too much peppercorn for my liking.

[On tap at the Holiday Inn, La Mirada, CA.] Straw coloured pour with a loose white head that laces the glass nicely; light aroma of lemon and lime; then a big hop hit in the mouth - earthy and resinous - over a sweet malt backbone; then lingering dry woody bitterness. Rather good.

Keg at Bazil's, 5/8/19. Murky pink, thin creamy white head, good retention. Aroma of tart berries, brine, lemon. Taste is salted chocolate, bright berry. Medium bodied, lingering tartness. The chocolate is kinda muted.

Draft pour at the Barking Dog in Bethesda, Maryland. Poured a clear, dark yellow-orange color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was actually kind of weird, I got some onion, lemon, a bit herbal, with some pine resin. Flavor was lacking that onion character (thankfully), leaving a pretty pleasant lemon citrus, pine. Light crispness. Actually light in body, which was quite nice.

650 ml bottle. Pours a clear orange hue with a medium white head. A light sweet fruity nose. The flavor is quite bitter, lemons, sort of sharp, light dust. Light lime and grapefruit. OK. A bit odd in terms of the lime zesty flavor.

Bottle from Boise Coop. Violet, plum colored pour pinkish head on top. The raspberries were first on the nose, quite evident, even from a distance. Hints of chocolate in the taste, but mostly the berries, and a healthy dose of salt. Quite tart. Salty Rubaes with a hint of chocolate.

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from Total Wine & More, Burlington, MA. Appearance is virtually opaque dark brown with light floaties, nice sparkle at the edges of the glass, thin cap of light brown head with poor retention and trace lacing. Aroma is strong roasted coffee, bordering on char, balanced with sweet milk chocolate. Taste is initial mild sour followed by strong sweet and roasty espresso. Palate is full bodied with thick, creamy texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, a thick, meaty, robust stout. Perhaps I had it a tad colder than I should have but it reminded me a bit of a milkshake. Good.
