Can on 1st August 2026, received as gift from a friend returning from Argentina earlier in the year. Pours an active, slightly hazy amber with dense, yellowy white meniscus of foam and clumpy lacing. Earthy and citrusy aromas with zesty peel. Bitter and sweet citrus peels and juices in-mouth, and a bitter finish of citrus zest and grasses. Full bodied with an engaging mouthfeel. Well crafted and enjoyable.

On tap at Baum (Palermo), pours a clear pale amber brown with a small white head. Aroma brings out sweet toasted caramel malt and sticky toffee. Flavour is much the same, with sticky toffee, toasted caramel, and a touch of bready malt. Sweet, sticky, but not particularly complex. Decent.

On tap at Baum (Palermo), pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted malt and a touch of earthiness. Flavour is sweeter than their standard English porter, with toasted malt, light sweetness, and bready notes. Reasonably done but their standard porter is better.

On tap at Baum (Palermo), pours black with a small tan head. Aroma has a nice smooth toasted malt base, some earthiness, and a dry cocoa powder. Flavour is very smooth, with a robust toasted malt character, some light earthy roast, and a touch of bitter dry cocoa powder. Smooth, integrated and with good depth for the style. Very solid.

On tap at Baum (Palermo), pours a clear golden orange with a small white head. Aroma seems properly old school at first , with bitter piney hops, bitter citrus peel, and toasted bready malt — rather harsh though. Flavour is reasonably balanced, with bright piney hops, some resins, and bready malt, but everything feels a bit faded and washed out. Finishes piney, somewhat resinous, and balanced. A little lacking in integration but reasonably constructed. Solid enough.

473ml can. Sweet and malty with some honey, grass and stuffy earthiness. A bit too sweet and heavy.
