12 ounce bottle into dimpled mug, best before 11/2/2015. Pours crystal clear deep orange/copper color with a 1 finger fairly dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of honey, light caramel, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/bready malt and moderate earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of honey, light caramel, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of honey, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, light pepper, and herbal/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Good robustness, complexity, and balance of dark/bready malt and moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Very clean on lager flavors with minimal yeast ester notes present. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish as expected of 5.1%. Overall this is a nice oktoberfest style. All around good balance, robustness, and complexity of dark/bready malt and moderate earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Can from the summer mix pack, conveniently drank right out of the can (again). Maybe It’s the redneck in me; I snugged it away in a red cozy and never looked back. Light and airy aroma, nice ginger smell. Ginger and a little wheat, hey this is pretty alright. Maybe a little too much ginger, but overall I thought this was ok. Exceeded my expectations, but after the orange shandy the bar wasn’t set too high.

Can from the summer mix pack, drank straight from the can. The weakest of the four, imo. Artificial orange and sort of musty to go with the wheat. Bland, sort of musty overall. Bummer, I had higher hopes for this one.

Pour is a lemon-aid looking cloudy yellow with a huge white head. Aroma is actually pretty good. Pretty much all allspice with some citrus tartness. Flavor is pumpkin pie spice with a nice bready pie crust aftertaste. Finish leaves more spice on the tongue. I can’t get over how much of a pie crust flavor you get with this. This was actually pretty good. If you like pumpkin flavors but don’t like the heaviness of pumpkin beers this would be for you.

Ok, so I like most grapefruit radlers, so why not try this? Cloudy grapefruit juice look with decent grapefruit aroma all round. Taste is certainly grapefruit but not like the sweet kind. Its more like Unsweetened grapefruit juice that has a little hops in there. Probably its the grapefruit that makes me think of the hops, go figger. Not quite chewing on green grapefruit rinds but a little bit of ripe rinds in there. Not bad overall. Have had god experience with most of their shandies. They know how to balance things out over there.

Tap at Mariano’s, Westchester. Amber Oktoberfest color. The smell is big and malty, but dwindles with the head. The taste has some warming alcohol, a bout of toast and caramel malt. It’s also kind of yeasty, suggesting an unfiltered keg. Caramel roast accounts for some of the sweetness. At least it’s a break from this year’s round of Citra hop monsters.

Can (Original Chippewa’s Pride can). Corn and barely malt aroma. Golden yellow with large white head. Mildly sweet barley malt and mildly bitter hay flavor. Nice body. Really not a bad beer - as good as PBR.

Well at least this one is a shandy, and interesting to use grapefruit instead of lemonade. It has a nice true grapefruit juice element in the aroma and flavor. The base beer could be a lot better though, it feels like a bleh wheat beer. OK beer but a few changes could make this really something
