Description
In May 1867, the Leinenkugel family brewery was founded in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin by Jacob Leinenkugel. He was a family man driven by an iron work ethic, and he knew that his German family heritage would play an integral part of his brewery’s success. Today, the sixth generation of Leinenkugels continues to brew some of the same family-inspired recipes that Jacob poured his heart and soul into. Over the years, our family has grown and so has our brewery, but our history and heritage remain at the forefront.

From a can Bryan gave me. Taste is smooth easy with just a light shade of ginger in thar fer the buds. Fun, with a light nose of ginger ale, barely perceivable. Friendly mild wheat effects mimic hefe without the spicy bubblegum or banana effects. More like a witbier with some ginger ale added & I don’t mind that a bit. Yes, mild easy beer that goes down similar to a soda with a half shot of tasteless grain. Good shandy job.

At Great Taste 2015. Lightly sweet, tons of malt, kind of sweet for the style but on the dry side nonetheless. Alcohol seems a little high, both in the flavor and the aroma, and now that I rate it I see it is too high. They got the appearance right, copper color and a nice white head.

Crisp light amber coloured body with hints of orange and a nice thinnish tan head. Aroma of Pumpkins, sour grapes, light yeast and a touch of lemons and spice. Light-bodied; Strong squash flavour with a lot of spice notes, some grass and hay elements, but the light sour and citrus flavour shows through near the end as well. Aftertaste shows the squash and spice, but this is a relatively easy-to-drink and simplistic beer, and to be perfectly honest - not all that bad. Overall, a decent beer with good pumpkin and spice flavour, but not much malt - meaning an easy-to-drink beer that shows surprisingly well! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Giant in Leesburg, Virginia on 29-August-2015.

Can from the mixed pack. Decided to have a go at this one right out of the can... Lots of grapefruit in the smell, fresh and lively. Tastes like a wheat beer with grapefruit, pretty basic. I like grapefruit, so its hard not to like this. Thirst quenching. Much better than the summer shandy.

Can from the mixed pack. Dirty blonde pour with a white head... Strong lemon aroma with light florals. Taste is dominated by the lemon, light florals and grass. Definitely has a spritzer feel. Meh.

Sampled from the tap at GTMW 2015. Pours a clear pale yellow with a large fluffy white head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has a touch of menthol, earthy tart fruit and a backing earthy wheat. Flavor has a combination of sweet light grains, light tart fruit and a bit thin.

From a bottle. It is better than I expected. I do not get the wheat beer flavors at all, but the clove and nutmeg are there. Generally artificial pumpkin pie spices.

Sampled from a bottle. I had low expectations for this beer. Clear, light gold color. Aroma of an ipa and bitter hop flavor. Thin palate. this was surprisingly ok.

Bottle: Pours clear, light copper with a tall, foamy beige head. Caramel, oak aroma. Creamy caramel malt, oak, mild vanilla taste. Sweet, easy drinking... Very pleasant.
