Bottle at Berliner Bierfestival. Clear, slightly pale, golden, with a small, white head leaving nice lacings. Quite weak nose with grains and grass. Unfortunately the flavor feels quite weak as well, but at least there’s a little hoppy bitterness in addition to the grain and grass. Some bitterness finishes it. Medium to thin body. A decent, boring, quaffable and refreshing beer. (070804)

Bottle at Berliner Bierfestival. The body has the brown color of cola, and is topped by a creamy, beige head. Cola nose with some hops, but I don’t think all the hops in the world could make it pleasant. The flavor has cola and hops as well, and is quite sweet. Cola sweet that is. Medium, sweetish mouthfeel and a finish with, yes, you guessed it, cola and some hops. Definately my cup of tea. (070804)

Pours quite flat looking and a fairly solid black colour. Aroma has elements of black coffee and liquorice amongst the roasted malts. Texture is quite rich and oily. The aftertaste is a little bitter and dry.

On tap Boise Flying Pie Pours out a nice black topped with a off white head. A nice roast malt aroma. Body was a little thin.

Can 50cl: Dark amber brown with off white head. . Malty nutty sweet aroma. Thin body low carbonation. Malts & dried fruits. Metallic/can flavor - not very pleaant. Drinkable. Rerating: Dronning Louise 09. Phat sweet caramel with a little roastiness. Med bodied. Fine.

Deep mahogany with a thin off white head. Aroma is very interesting. Sweet malts, some roasted, ginger bread cookie dough, dark fruit, and molasses. Sorta thin body. Roasted malt, dark chocolate bitterness, raisin, molasses, and maybe a hint of smoke. Finishes with plenty of molasses. Surprising and impressive. A good beer.

Black with a disappearing off-white head. Caramel and toffee aromas. Sweetish flavour with just a hint of roast malt. Roasted and hoppy finish.

Pours dark red/brown, with a thin pale head. Smells of moss and oak, but not strongly. Taste is crisp and earthy, quite refreshing. Hardly any hop flavor. Smoke and coffee trails.

Bottle from Corks, Bristol. Very dark brown with aroma of caramel with a hint of coffee. Very drinkable with sweet tones and some dark fruit. Very good.
