bottle - Pours dark brown with a moderate head that has some staying power. The aroma is mild roast malts. It has a good roast malt flavor with maybe mild coffee presence. Medium bodied and smooth, this one leaves some lingering roast in the finish.

This brew pours a dark reddish-brown with a medium thick tan head that has fair retention. Thin spotty lacing. The aroma consists of dark fruits and malt. Medium-bodied with a somewhat roasty aspect. Medium body but thin at times. Malt, coffee and prune flavors are present, along with a touch of hops. The finish is roasty and sweet, with a mild coffee aftertaste. Average overall.

Test vom 24.12.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 7,8,8,9,7,8 - 8,00

On tap, in bottle and in mini/micro keg from Germany and US. Pours rich dark color with frothy light brown head. Nice roasted and sweet caramel malt aroma. Taste is similar with roasted and caramel malt along with a slight dark fruitiness and some chocolate malts around the edges. Not much in the way of hops. Great tasting everyday type beer.
