Description
Like so many enthusiastic beer seekers, the creators of Fidens found themselves traveling all over to discover new beers and exciting breweries. As their love of craft beer and the brewing process grew they started on a small rig in the garage. Over time they brought their talents together and established the Fidens Brand at the end of 2019. The idea was simple, to open a small brewery locally where they would offer a quality product like those in their travels.

16 oz can in a trade with tfontana. Thank you Tom! Aroma is grapefruit, orange, and mild herbs. Flavor shows a good amount of citrus with maybe hints of mango. Under the fruit is a very soft pine or herb undertone. Juicy texture with a soft pine finish. Prototypical for the style.

Can (2/19/26) from the brewery. Opaque, banana smoothie yellow, tons of sparkle, thin head with good retention, splotchy, soapy lacing. Aroma is strong, sweet white grape and peach, lesser grapefruit. Taste follows aroma with addition of malty backbone stronger than grapefruit. Smooth texture, medium bodied, soft carbonation, vestige of alcohol astringency at the back of the mouth but no heat, no flavor, no taste, no harshness.

16 oz can in a trade with tfontana. Thank you Tom !
Aroma of shows bolder pine, chocolate, roasted malts. The pine is strong with some cooking herbs. Roasted malt is just enough So I do not detect any ash or char. Also shows mellow citrus. Decent bitterness for the style. Good mouthfeel. Exceptional!

Can (2/18/26) from the brewery. Opaque, thick banana-smoothie yellow, tons of sparkle, ample head with fair retention, ring of lacing. Aroma is pink grapefruit, white grape, candied citrus, stone fruit, just a touch of herb and subtle background bread. Taste is as aroma with white grape and herb a bit more present. Smooth, thick, frothy texture, medium bodied, average carbonation and strong, dry, malty finish with lingering yeast and bitterness. No sign of alcohol. Good complexity.

16 oz can in a trade with tfontana. Aroma of oranges, white grape and bread-like malt. The flavor starts out with orange and white grape.
Secondary peach and soft bready malt.
No pine found here like in Super Heavy Cut. Super juicy and soft mouthfeel. One huge juice bomb. Very mild bitterness late in finish. Awesome!

16 oz can in a trade with tfontana. Aroma of soft tropical fruit and mild non-descriptive citrus. Flavor of candied pineapple, orange marmalade, very mild marijuana. Shows some juice character with a balancing better finish. Well constructed without a doubt. But certainly not as awesome as some of their other IPAs.

Number 1 with a bullet !! 16 oz can in a trade with tfontana. I’m super lucky to get to try this next to the double dry hopped Orchid. Aroma mostly guava fruit with mild haystacks.
Flavor shows white grape, grapefruit and plenty of guava. Mild bready malt background. Soft supple mouthfeel with no ABV shown. ( as per usual for this brewer). I would say I like the DDH Orchid just a fraction better.
