Keg at BD CJ. It pours crazy turbid orange - dirty blonde with a decent foamy white head. The aroma is soft, fresh, juicy, creamy, orange, apricot, persimmon, fruit smoothie and candy. The taste is smooth, mellow, very juicy, limited bitterness, orange creamiscle, fruit, smoothie, straw, some greenness, bready, brioche & marmalade with a smooth finish. Medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. Nice juicy low bitterness IPA. Tasty juicy action.

Can at home. Pours deep orange, nose is raspberry, caramel, light toffee, taste is juicy raspberry, dry, tart.

Hazy amber and copper coloured body with a ridiculously large, six centimetre tall pure white very microfoamed head that leaves a pretty ugly lace, but stays afloat for quite a while. Aroma of soap, grass, light hops, citrus and a bit of alcohol. Light to Medium-bodied; Assertive hop pellet flavour with some grass, citrus, pine, earth, yeast, grain and a bit of rice and other funky fake malts. Aftertaste shows much more bitterness from the hops with a strong bit of pine, earth, grass, floral and resinous elements with a little sweetness on the finish. Overall, a lot of carbonation, some decent smells in the nose and a much better flavour with a hoppy finish that shows fairly well for a beer from South Africa and decent IPA for the rest of the world (not from the West or even East coast of the USA). I sampled this 50 cL bottle purchased from TOPS in Cape Quarter (Green Point) in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa on 14-August-2015 for ZAR31,99 sampled at home in Washington on the other side of the planet on 02-January-2017 on my youngest daugher’s second birthday [which coincided with her first trip to Africa on this purchase], Happy Birthday Paige!

Bottle 341ml. [ As Devil’s Peak King’s Blockhouse IPA ].Clear medium yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt, moderate to heavy hoppy, citrus, grass. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, citrus, fruity hops, pale malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20161008] 7-3-7-3-15

Bottle. Clear golden color with creamy white head. Aroma is citrus, piney, caramel. Taste is piney, citrus, caramel, residual sweetness. Slightly watery mouthfeel. Low carbonation. Ok!

Keg at Beerhouse on Long. It pours pale gold with a medium white head. The aroma is fairly subdued....white bread, toasted grain, straw, creaminess and a touch of paper. The taste is crisp, sweet white bread, straw, grass, floral, light spice and slight chalky note. Finish is bitter - sweet. Light - medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. A forgettable golden ale.

Bottle at Aarhus tasting. Pours golden with a small white head. Aroma of hop, caramel, light fruit. Medium sweetness, light bitterness. Finish is bittersweet.
