Golden coloured body with a very thin off-white head. Aroma of pale malt, wheat, rice, caster sugar and very little else. Light-bodied; Strong rice and cereal flavour with the malt easily the strongest and some of the unfinished sugars and the grass also noticeable. Aftertaste is watery, plain, simple and malty - not too much going on here, but at least it isn’t bad flavours - just ricey and cerealy flavours with little else going on. Overall, a light beer with not too much flavour that isn’t bad or offensive almost works out as a positive for this locale! I sampled this 33 cL CLEAR bottle purchased from Magasin Tiahura (convenience store) at MK 25,0 on Mo’orea, French Polynesia for 295 XPF (CPF) on 16-August-2016 sampled a few hours later at my hotel here in Moorea on 16-August-2016.

Very nice crisp amber (surprising) coloured body with a cola glow and a thinnish, single centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of malt, caramel, cereal, grain and a bit of caster sugar. Medium-bodied; Assertive toasted malt flavours dominate with a good dose of caramel, some alcohol, a touch of grain and toast and a little bit of fruit at the tail end. Aftertaste shows the malt, caramel and toasted notes more than anything else, but some of the light fruit and unfinished sugars are noticeable as well. Overall, a nice beer and the best of the three Hinano beers with a good maltiness and a very fresh flavour. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased at the Grocery Store next to my hotel here in Tahiti, French Polynesia on 14-August-2016 for 245 XPF (CPF) sampled a few hours later while looking out at Moorea on 14-August-2016.

Odd to see that this beer hasn’t been rated more, a relatively easy find at the grocery store near my hotel in Tahiti. Clear golden coloured body with a thinnish, two centimetre tall pure white head. Aroma of fresh malt and hops, alcohol, light metal, a touch of grain, some bread and a little corn. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong rich malt and floral flavour at first with grain, honey, light hops, dry grass and a touch of metal at the tail end. Aftertaste shows some dryness, a bit of the fresh malt and grass and a little metal as well, with the alcohol (the highest of the three Hinano beers that i’ve seen thus far) pretty well hidden. Overall, not a horrible option, not something I’d choose over American beers that I’d find in any store in america, but at least an option here in French Polynesia. Available in cans and bottles, I opted for a 33 cL can for 240 XPF from the Super U grocery store near Le Meridien Hotel in Tahiti, French Polynesia purchased earlier in the day on 14-August-2016 sampled in my hotel looking out over Moorea in French Polynesia on 14-August-2016.

That’ll be me 20K then @ ChrisO’s. Thanks to ChrisO. Bright clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry and has mild fine carbonation. Smooth pale malts, some paper. Traces of floralness and citrus. More paper. Light semi dry finish. About what you would expect, but I remember it tasting better in the stifling hear of Tahiti.
