Gold color. Surprisingly low carbonation. Hop aroma is prominent, but the flavor is bitter and dry. Wildflowers, and yeast in the finish. It goes down easily enough on a hot day. Just a little fruit in there.

Good summer beer with a pleasant hop-malt balance. Floral, grassy, fruity hops leave a pleasant bitterness in the finish. Malt is lightly sweet with a bready, toasty aroma/taste. Easy to drink. Mouthfeel is light and creamy. Good stuff.

At SAVOR. Poured a golden color with a small head. Aroma was a touch citrus hops, floral and earthy notes. Flavor was orange hops, a touch sweet. enjoyable.

Received courtesy of depechemode1983, thanks for the opportunity! A vigorous pour produces a slightly hazy amber/copper colored beverage with a one finger fluffy white head that slowly recedes to lace on the side of the glass. Smells of bread biscuit and caramel. Very malty aroma almost void of hops with a faint earthy/citrus hop aroma in there. I really shouldn’t have to search for the hop aroma in an IPA should I? Taste is sweet malty with lots of caramel, bread, light citrus and herbal tea. lingering herbal tea in the finish. Medium body and carbonation level. I guess this could be a gateway IPA for someone who has not yet embraced the ways of beer geekdom. I found this rather pedestrian and would consider this a bitter or pale ale personally. It would be a pretty good brew if it were Summit Pale ale, but as an IPA I have to ding this one pretty hard for being out of style. One other thing is I have no idea if this is a fresh bottle as there is only a convoluted code number on the label that I can barely read.

Received in trade from depechemode1983 thanks for the opportunity! Pours a deep golden amber color with a bubbly white head that dissipates quickly. Smells mostly of peaches and citrus with a slightly herbal hop aroma. Taste is malty sweet. Bready biscuit and toffee malts rule a slightly herbal floral hop bite. Medium body and carbonation level. Sweet almost sticky mouthfeel. Decent enough pale ale, but nothing extraordinary. Glad I got to try, but I wouldn’t seek out again.

From a 12oz bottle from Pick’s Liquors poured into a Shaker. Thick white head that dissipates quickly. It’s a golden orange color, somewhat hazy. Sightly hoppy aroma, but not much there in the way of scent. Taste is medium bitter, great hop taste. This beer is medium bodied with a slick texture. Average carbonation and a long bitter finish. Overall, its a pretty good beer. I would buy it again except for the fact that it is really expensive.

12oz bottle. Pale golden tan, slightly hazy with an oily white head. Honey dough aroma. Quickly countered by a really excellent, well rounded hop assault, from peppery to melon. Somewhat Lagery to me, despite the fruity Ale tones...suppose it’s just the unfiltered yeast tones. A really nice, hop forward Bitter, well done. Drinks medium bodied, but there is some warmth in the finish that makes me think this beer is easily 6.5% plus.

Firkin Fest 2011. A good beer. Lots of roasted malt and some grain character, minimal hops and easy to drink. The brett gives a little sourness, and I expect with time, there would be a lot more. Brett is also in the aroma, where the original Winter had no yeast aroma at all.

Bottle courtesy of CaptainCougar, thanks! Dark brown, beige edge head. Aroma of chocolate and coffee, pumpkin, and the usual pumpkin spices. Taste is coffee grounds and gourd. Decent.
