Not really a good beer. Aroma has a number of things going on, many not so good - a bit of funk, hint of hop and toffee, whiff of skunk. Flavor’s dominated by bitter, some malt and a tad of hop. Palate is dominated by bitter: too much.

Not as critrusy as the usual IPA. This wasn’t bad, though. It was a bit more spicy, verging on saison, than I usually want from my IPAs...

Bottle. Pours a clear amber color. Average white frothy head dissapates quickly leaving some visible lacing. Aromas of toast, caramel, and some light hops. Taste is subtle; malty and a touch metallic with a very mild hop bitterness. Not my style of IPA.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with a large off white head that dissipates slowly and leaves nice lacing. Downhill from there unfortunately. Aroma its lager like with strong notes of grain, grass and corn. Flavor about the same, with earthy and pine notes. Medium sweet and lightly bitter finish. Medium body. Not good.

Bottle in 2007. A slightly hoppy India Pale Ale, but is disappointingly bland when drank.
