Clearish gold with a decent white head. Eatery notes, touch of pepper and bread. Light soured esters. Although the base is decent it doesn't work as a sour.

I located two Belgian brews from True Anomaly yesterday at the downtown Spec’s in Houston. Happy to sample the tripel this evening using my Delerium tulip glass. The arrival is an impenetrable, dark gold liquid topped by a replenishing pure white head. I smell yellow fruit, grain and yeast. The drink is good, better than anticipated. Yellow raisins, nectarines, biscuit, yeast and apricots. All this supported by a bit of sweetness and just a touch of bitterness. A substantial mouthfeel. A very nice American effort at a tripel.
