7.2/10 Appearance 8 Aroma 7 Flavor 7 Texture 8 Overall 7
On tap at the brewery. Pours brown with an off-white head. Sweet maple aroma. Flavor is maple and red apple, molasses, biscuit, lightly toasty.

On cask at the brewery. Muted aroma. Flavor is much more rounded and smooth than the tap version. Molasses and maple, with a general fruitiness, even woody. This version reminds me of spiced rum.

Cask wins this one. Interesting how completely different they are.

7.1/10 Appearance 6 Aroma 9 Flavor 7 Texture 6 Overall 6.5
On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy brown with an off-white head. Aroma is pure sweet 100% undiluted maple syrup and butterscotch syrup. Flavor is much less intense, with maple syrup and butterscotch, roasty and toasty malt, some red apple. A bit of a letdown after the aroma. Still okay, though.
