Description
Fate brought us together at Hawkshead Brewery and in a short time it became clear we shared a passion for great beer and many ideals. After being made redundant at the beginning of lockdown restrictions in March 2020. Matt, Michelle, Steve & Paul reunited as Lakes Brew Co. Bringing together the shared ambition to be one of Cumbria’s progressive, sociably innovative breweries. With a strong ethos of support and collaboration, through the beers we produce and the team we surround ourselves with – engrained in our locality.

Adversity lit a flame within us to create something for ourselves, take control of our own futures and build a brewery that we are happy to be involved in. The end of July 2022 marks the first year of brewing for us. We have been so lucky to be able to carry on doing what we are passionate about, not only brewing but in the area that feeds us inspiration on a daily basis. Creating innovative & progressive craft beers in the Lake District and proud to be an inclusive, independent, woman co-owned business where everyone is welcome.

Can from Beer Ambleside.
Appearance - murky, solid yellow with a big foamy off white head.
Nose - dank, grassy, gooseberry, greengage and kiwi.
Taste - a lot more juicy, luscious green fruits again, like very ripe kiwi or greengage. There's also a big tropical side to it, somewhere between guava and lychee.
Palate - medium bodied, creamy and juicy with just a little bit of zip on the finish.
Overall - great stuff!
